Approach

Consulting, a build, or both.

Nexa engagements start in one of two ways. AI Consulting determines what to build when the institution has not yet decided. AI Engineering starts directly when the requirement is already defined. Both routes fix the specification in writing before engineering starts.

Routes

Two routes

The scoping call determines the route. A client can take either practice on its own or both in sequence.

Two routes into an engagement. Route A ends at the roadmap when the client takes the assessment on its own. Both routes meet at a signed specification.
Sequence

Six stages

Each stage closes with a written output the client reviews before the next stage starts. Direct builds omit the assessment.

  1. Scoping call

A 30-minute call establishes the problem, the users, and the systems the work must integrate with.

  2. Assessment

AI Consulting route. Data, workflows, and systems are reviewed against candidate use cases, then ranked, costed, and sequenced into a roadmap.

  3. Specification

Deliverables, timeline, and acceptance criteria are fixed in writing for the first priority build.

  4. Build

The team ships working software in short increments, each reviewed with the client's team against the specification.

  5. Deployment

The system goes live in the client's private cloud or on-premises infrastructure, with release evaluation and monitoring in place.

  6. Handover

Documentation and training transfer operation of the system to the client's team.

Principles

Engagement principles

Five principles apply to every consulting and engineering engagement.

The principles below govern how Nexa scopes, builds, and transfers work. They apply to an assessment delivered on its own and to a full build.

Principles

  • Written specification before engineering starts
  • Models evaluated against the client's own data
  • Deployment inside the client's environment
  • Human approval on actions with financial or regulatory consequence
  • Code, configuration, documentation, and roadmaps owned by the client
Team

One team from scoping to handover

The people who scope the work build it.

ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and designers work alongside the client's team for the length of the engagement. The same team that runs the assessment writes the specification, builds the system, and trains the operators who take it over.

Roles

  • ML engineers
  • Software engineers
  • Product managers
  • Designers
Products

Products follow a separate path

Nexa products deploy without a custom build. Their rollout runs in four stages.

  1. Site review

Infrastructure, data sources, and operating requirements are reviewed before installation.

  2. Configuration

The product is configured to the client's sources, users, roles, and rules.

  3. Installation

Software and hardware are installed on the client's premises or private cloud.

  4. Support

Nexa provides updates and operational support after go-live.
